Patna, March 1: In a crucial intervention amid escalating Iran-US tensions, JD(U) Member of Parliament Sanjay Jha has held discussions with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to secure the safe return of Indians stranded in Gulf countries. Jha revealed that families back home, particularly from Bihar, are receiving distress calls from their loved ones working in the region.

“Airports across these nations are shut down, and leaderships are in constant communication,” Jha stated, urging all Indians in the Gulf to remain indoors for safety. The Indian government is closely monitoring the volatile situation and promises to arrange evacuations as soon as normalcy is restored. Bihar’s administration is also coordinating with the central government on this pressing matter.

Shifting focus to state politics, Jha lauded Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on his birthday, crediting him with transforming the state’s image from a hotbed of lawlessness to a beacon of development. “Before Nitish ji, industries fled due to rampant kidnappings and poor governance. Today, Bihar stands tall in national progress,” he asserted.

Jha highlighted Bihar’s electorate’s wisdom in repeatedly backing Kumar, whose 20-year tenure has delivered on every front. He took a sharp dig at opposition parties, reminding them of the era when investors abandoned the state out of fear. “Investment will surge in the next five years, positioning Bihar among India’s top performers,” Jha confidently predicted, wishing Kumar a happy birthday on behalf of JD(U) workers.
