Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh now to be ‘exhausting spaces’ for IAS, IPS officials’ postings

NEW DELHI: The Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will now be regarded as as “exhausting spaces” for postings of AGMUT cadre IAS and IPS officials, a Central govt notification stated.

In step with the notification issued January 18, a choice has been taken via the Central govt to this impact and the information for the switch and posting of IAS, and IPS officials of the joint cadre of Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre have additionally been changed accordingly.

The erstwhile J&Okay cadre used to be merged with AGMUT in 2021 after Jammu and Kashmir used to be bifurcated into the 2 Union Territories on August 5, 2019.

Postings in Delhi, Chandigarh, Goa, Puducherry, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu will likely be regarded as as “common spaces” or Class A, whilst postings in Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh will likely be regarded as as “exhausting spaces” or Class B.
