Jabalpur Acid Attack: Childhood Friend Arrested in Connection with the Crime

Shraddha Das was attacked with acid in Jabalpur, and the perpetrator has been identified as her childhood friend, Ishita. The police investigation suggests that Ishita’s actions were driven by envy of Das’s beauty and academic accomplishments, alongside the belief that Das was behind the circulation of a private video involving Ishita and her boyfriend. Ishita’s attempt to purchase acid using fraudulent documents was thwarted initially, but she later secured the acid with the help of her friend Ansh, who posed as a professor. The acid attack took place on Sunday night, causing severe burns to Das. While Das receives medical attention, Ishita has been arrested, and the authorities are actively seeking Ansh’s whereabouts.
