The Indian Navy will commission the INS Androth, the second Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), at the Visakhapatnam Naval Dockyard. The commissioning of Androth is a major step toward enhancing capabilities and indigenization.

Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) in Kolkata, Androth has more than 80 percent indigenous content, which demonstrates India’s increasing maritime self-reliance and commitment to new domestic technologies.
