In a shocking turn of events during the festive spirit of Holi, a young man was brutally stabbed to death in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, following a dispute over applying colors. The incident, which unfolded in the bustling commercial hub, has left the community reeling and police on high alert.

The tragedy occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the Palda area under the Bhanwarkua police station limits. Aditya Jamre, originally from Barwani and employed at a private firm in Indore, was at his home celebrating the festival with his siblings. Standing outside his residence, he was approached by a group of youths who smeared colors on him, sparking a heated argument.

What began as a minor altercation quickly escalated into a violent confrontation marked by verbal abuses. In a fit of rage, one of the assailants pulled out a knife and attacked Aditya, inflicting severe wounds on his chest and head. Eyewitnesses from the neighborhood recounted the horrifying scene as Aditya collapsed on the spot, bleeding profusely.

Neighbors rushed to his aid, ferrying him to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, doctors declared him dead on arrival, attributing the fatality to massive blood loss from the deep stab injuries. The loss of this young life has cast a pall over Holi celebrations in the area.

Police have launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, scouring CCTV footage from surrounding locations to identify and apprehend the culprits. Aditya’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination to gather further evidence. Authorities urge the public to come forward with any information that could aid the investigation.

This incident serves as a grim reminder of how festivals meant for joy can turn deadly amid unchecked aggression. As Indore mourns, questions arise about public safety during such vibrant yet vulnerable times.
