On September 1st, IndiGo flight 6E 6571, traveling from Delhi to Kolkata, experienced an incident of disruptive behavior. A passenger, identified as a lawyer, caused a disturbance by raising religious slogans, including “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Shri Ram.” The unruly behavior started while the plane was still in the parking bay. The airline reported that the passenger was under the influence of alcohol, behaving inappropriately towards crew members, and disturbing other passengers. This individual was allegedly in possession of alcohol hidden in a soft drink bottle and made an offensive remark toward a crew member. While denying having alcohol in the bottle, the passenger admitted to having consumed alcohol. The crew members were also requested by the passenger to shout religious slogans.
