PUNE, March 8 – As tensions escalate in the Middle East, a group of Indian citizens has been safely evacuated from Dubai and landed at Pune International Airport. The relieved passengers shared heartwarming stories of government’s swift action and UAE’s robust support, expressing deep gratitude upon their return.

Nidhi, a student who was in Dubai, recounted the initial panic when conflict erupted last Saturday. ‘Fear gripped us at first,’ she said, ‘but the college, Indian embassy, and our government stepped in seamlessly. Everything was handled perfectly.’ Back home, Nidhi feels a profound sense of relief and hopes for a quick resolution to resume studies without further disruption.

She lauded the Indian administration’s dedication. ‘The government works with utmost sincerity, providing unparalleled support to Indians abroad. We’re truly proud of our nation,’ Nidhi added.

Priyanka, on a 15-day work trip, echoed similar sentiments. Despite distant explosions, she never felt unsafe. ‘UAE authorities ensured top-notch security for everyone. No panic, no chaos – just calm assurance,’ she noted.

Arjun Bandhu described a tense moment at the airport when a missile alert forced passengers into bunkers. ‘We were quickly sheltered, and once cleared, informed that the threats were neutralized,’ he shared, highlighting the efficient response.

Anand Vinekar credited SpiceJet for timely flights amid cancellations elsewhere. Stuck for a week, he was overjoyed to return. Gulfam, a six-year UAE resident, affirmed the situation remained stable with excellent care from local authorities.

These accounts underscore India’s effective evacuation efforts and the UAE’s commitment to expatriate safety, offering hope amid regional unrest. Families reunited at Pune airport celebrated the safe homecoming, calling for sustained diplomatic pushes for peace.
