In a heartwarming initiative, the Indian Army’s Kupwara Territors under the Vajra Division organized a motivational trip for young girls working at the district’s Folk Centre and Barkat Bistro. The journey, flagged off from Pathri Garrison on February 17, took the excited group from Kupwara to the breathtaking meadows of Gulmarg.
The primary goal was to expose these girls from remote areas of Kupwara to new horizons and the stunning natural beauty of Gulmarg. Organizers believe such experiences play a crucial role in building self-confidence and fostering personality development among young women.
During the trip, the girls rode the Gulmarg Gondola, marveling at snow-capped peaks and lush greenery for the first time. Their faces lit up with joy, and they expressed immense gratitude. Parents were equally thrilled, thanking the Army for giving their daughters this unforgettable opportunity.
The Indian Army remains committed to connecting, inspiring, educating, and empowering women in North Kashmir. By supporting their work and providing platforms to showcase talents, the Army aims to contribute to personal growth while enabling them to bring pride to their communities and state.
Teamwork and leadership skills blossomed as the girls navigated the excursion together. Army officials emphasized that programs like this cultivate self-reliance, courage, and resilience in participants.
This effort underscores the Army’s broader role in socially and educationally empowering girls in Kupwara and North Kashmir. More such initiatives are planned to help young women highlight their skills and potentials. Beyond national security, the Indian Army continues to champion women’s empowerment and community development.
