New Delhi’s India AI Summit turned into a showcase of military innovation as the Indian Army rolled out cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems developed in partnership with homegrown startups. In an era where battles are won not just with firepower but with superior technology, the Army is leaving no stone unturned to integrate AI into its operations.
The event highlighted a suite of indigenous AI solutions, emphasizing self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Leading the pack is ‘One AI,’ a secure platform running entirely on the Army’s air-gapped network. Crafted with Neuralics under the iDEX Aditi 2.0 framework, this AI-as-a-Service model uses Army-specific data to train foundation models, ensuring zero external interference.
Complementing it were portable innovations like AI-in-a-Box and Agentic AI platforms. These compact systems act as on-demand decision-makers, deployable anywhere for rapid analysis of classified intelligence. Collaborations with startups such as Inefu Labs, Cogo AI, Paradome, and Hyde are powering secure edge AI and on-premises agentic systems.
The ‘Digitized Brigade’ platform, developed with Next Level Technologies, centralizes unit data from diverse sources, streamlining analysis and management. This eliminates data silos, enabling faster planning and informed strategies.
Training gets a tech boost too. VedaSva Systems is building an AI-driven Learning Management System that assesses soldier readiness and pinpoints improvement areas. Meanwhile, Clouddner AI’s Security Control Tower employs computer vision for real-time surveillance and threat detection via cameras, enhancing vigilance at borders and camps.
These efforts underscore the Army’s push to bolster operational readiness through domestic innovation. Summit visitors, including dignitaries and tech experts, closely examined these capabilities, signaling a new chapter in national defense where AI fortifies security.
