Goyal emphasized the government’s ironclad preparations to keep trade flowing seamlessly. Procedural flexibilities are being injected into export authorities, coordination with customs and port bodies is ramping up to eliminate clearance delays, and proactive dialogues with financial and insurance institutions aim to shield exporters’ interests.
In a strategic move, an Inter-Ministerial Group (IMG) for Supply Chain Resilience has been formed. This powerhouse team includes representatives from the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). Their mandate: seamless coordination, vigilant monitoring, and swift action across departments.
