    The India Meteorological Department has raised a red alert for Cyclone Montha, a potent storm brewing in the Bay of Bengal, with landfall imminent on the Andhra Pradesh coast on October 28. Forecasts indicate wind speeds of up to 110 km/h and exceptionally heavy rainfall, impacting at least 23 districts. The storm’s trajectory points towards a landing site between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam. Emergency services are on high alert, and a comprehensive evacuation and preparedness plan is being implemented to mitigate the storm’s impact and ensure public safety.
