CHIABASA: Two IEDs, suspected to be planted by means of Maoists, had been present in a woodland in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district, police stated on Thursday.

Performing on a tip-off concerning the presence of most sensible Maoist leaders reminiscent of Mihir Besra, Anal ‘da’, Asim Mandal and Pramod Mishra, safety forces had been looking a woodland within the Kolhan core house on Wednesday, they stated.

In process the operation, two IEDs weighing 5 kg every had been discovered within the woodland close to Rengrahatu village within the Tonto police station house, they added.

A bomb disposal squad defused the IEDs on the spot.
