Human trafficking gang busted in Punjab’s Patiala; two babies rescued

CHANDIGARH: A human trafficking gang has been busted in Patiala. It has come to mild that babies have been purchased for a pittance of Rs 50,000 from poverty-stricken households and bought to childless {couples} for round Rs 5 lakhs. In some circumstances, the young children have been stolen.

Sajita hails from Bihar. She had bought her kid to this gang.  

Sadar Samana police have registered a case beneath Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 370 (5) (trafficking of minors), 120 (B) (prison conspiracy), and Phase 81 of The Juvenile Justice (Care and Coverage of Kids) Act.

The group participants reportedly confessed to having bought round seven babies prior to now few months. That they had transformed a Toyota Innova automobile into an ambulance in order that the
police and government didn’t have any suspicion about their actions after they transported the young children. The automobile has additionally been recovered.
