Across India, the vibrant festival of Holi is being celebrated with immense enthusiasm and joy. From bustling cities to serene villages, streets are alive with colors, music, and laughter as families and friends come together to welcome spring. In a heartwarming gesture, President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla extended their warm wishes to the nation on this auspicious occasion.

President Murmu took to the social media platform X to convey her message, emphasizing the festival’s role in spreading love, hope, and unity. ‘This festival of colors infuses lives with love and hope, strengthening bonds of brotherhood,’ she wrote, urging citizens to contribute towards building a developed nation filled with happiness.

Vice President Dhankhar highlighted Holi as a celebration of good triumphing over evil and the arrival of spring, symbolizing new beginnings, optimism, and energy in Indian civilization. He noted how the festival, rooted in rich traditions, promotes brotherhood, mutual respect, and shared joy, fortifying the social fabric. ‘May the colors of Holi fill every heart with happiness and new energy,’ he added, inspiring collective efforts for a more inclusive, peaceful, and prosperous India.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla described Holi as a festival of colors, excitement, and harmony, reflecting India’s rich culture and traditions. He reminded everyone that love, trust, and positivity can dispel any darkness in life. Birla called for a pledge to spread love, peace, and harmony in society, extending the festive spirit to the needy, portraying Holi not just as a one-day event but as a symbol of positive thinking and fresh starts.

As India revels in the spirit of Holi, these messages from top leaders underscore the festival’s deeper significance in fostering national unity and progress. The celebrations continue with traditional Holika Dahan bonfires last night, paving the way for today’s playful color-throwing festivities, bhang drinks, and Gujiya sweets, promising a renewed sense of community and optimism for the year ahead.
