Mumbai’s spotlight turned to television star Hina Khan as she graced the Oncology Leadership Townhall ‘Illuminate 3.0’ hosted by Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital. The cancer survivor opened up about her harrowing journey, emphasizing that early detection can turn the tide against the disease.

Hina shared heartfelt gratitude for her husband Rocky and family’s unwavering support. ‘I feel blessed to be here today,’ she said from the stage. ‘It’s the doctors’ expertise, my family’s love, and Rocky’s strength that brought me through. Even after marriage, our bond remains unchanged—he cares for me just the same.’

Reflecting on her ongoing recovery, Hina dismissed one-size-fits-all advice. ‘Everyone’s body reacts differently,’ she noted. ‘What worked for me might not for you. But one thing I know: live in the present. Stay happy no matter what, because life is unpredictable. Even healthy people face sudden illnesses, so embrace every moment.’

Defiant in her spirit, Hina revealed her zest for life. ‘I’m doing everything I want—traveling to Iceland for ice baths, exploring the world, eating what I crave. I’ve never felt like a patient, and my doctors ensured that too.’ Her message resonated deeply, inspiring attendees to prioritize screenings and cherish each day.
