Guwahati civic polls: BJP, AAP bag one ward every, counting underway

GUWAHATI: The BJP and the Aam Aadmi Celebration bagged one ward every up to now within the Guwahati Municipal Company, as counting of votes for polls to the civic frame commenced on Sunday.

The elections have been held in 57 wards of the GMC on Friday, whilst in 3 wards, BJP applicants have been declared elected unopposed previous.

As in line with data equipped by means of the Kamrup Metropolitan district management, the BJP has gained in Ward Quantity 41, whilst AAP clinched Ward Quantity 42.

The BJP was once main in 3 extra wards until 11 am, Assam State Election Fee (ASEC) knowledge confirmed.

The Congress has applicants in 54 wards, AAP in 38, Assam Jatiya Parishad in 25 and CPI(M) in 4.

Nineteen others, together with Independents, also are in rivalry.
