Gurugram Police Thwarts Assassination Attempt: Five Shooters Eliminated

Gurugram Police successfully neutralized a group of shooters in an encounter in the Wazirpur area. The shooters were reportedly planning to assassinate singer Fazilpuria. This incident comes after a previous attack on Rahul Yadav (Fazilpuria) on July 14, 2025, on Gurugram’s Southern Peripheral Road (SPR). Investigations revealed that the plot was masterminded by gangsters Deepak Nandal and Rohit Sirdhania. The joint operation by STF and the crime branch led to the interception of the shooters who were traveling in a vehicle without a number plate. The suspects opened fire at the police, prompting the police to retaliate. Four of the suspects were shot in the legs, while the fifth was apprehended. The arrested individuals have been identified as Vinod Pehalwan, Padam alias Raja, Shubham alias Kala, Gautam alias Gogi, and Ashish alias Ashu. The injured shooters are currently hospitalized and in stable condition. Police have recovered weapons from the scene of the encounter.
