    Today, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), will engage in discussions with sector representatives to ensure the efficient rollout of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms. The GST Council recently concluded its 56th meeting, where the decision was made to transition from the existing four-tier tax structure to a two-tiered system. These adjustments are slated to be implemented starting September 22nd. Additionally, Mauritian Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam has begun an eight-day visit to India, with a stop in Varanasi planned for today. Meanwhile, the Bahujan Samaj Party, headed by former Chief Minister Mayawati, is commencing the ‘Sarvajan Hitay Jagrook Yatra’ in Bihar.
