NEW DELHI: The Division of Telecom has requested telecom operators to withdraw all COVID pre-call bulletins and caller tunes.
The telecom provider suppliers were taking part in the pre-call bulletins and caller tunes associated with coronavirus to unfold consciousness amongst electorate and to inform them concerning the precautions and vaccination to be taken all the way through the pandemic.
In a round dated March 29, DoT referred to the directions that had been issued for implementation of corona pre-call bulletins and caller tunes to the operators.
“On this regard, the approval of Ministry of Well being and Circle of relatives Welfare is won for withdrawal of the caller tunes with instant impact,” it mentioned.
Accordingly, the telecom provider suppliers were requested to withdraw the entire corona pre-call bulletins and caller tunes issued through DoT once in a while.
The federal government had previous won representations that the audio clips have served their meant objective and had been delaying crucial calls all the way through emergencies.
