In a significant development for Madhya Pradesh’s tech landscape, Google has expressed keen interest in investing in IT, ITES, and data center projects. This announcement came during discussions at the ongoing World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where state officials engaged with Google’s Asia Pacific President Sanjay Gupta.

The meeting, held on Tuesday, focused on expanding IT infrastructure, IT-enabled services, and ongoing data center initiatives in the state. Madhya Pradesh government sources confirmed that Gupta showed strong enthusiasm for these sectors, highlighting Google’s commitment to bolstering digital innovation in emerging markets.

Key attendees included Madhya Pradesh’s Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Rakesh Shukla. Discussions also delved into leveraging Google’s Gemini AI for transformative applications in agriculture and education. Officials emphasized the state’s green energy policies aimed at ensuring reliable power supply for IT and data center projects.

Madhya Pradesh showcased its investor-friendly ecosystem, including tailored policies and supportive frameworks designed to meet the needs of global giants like Google. The state underscored its capacity to provide sustainable electricity through renewable sources, positioning itself as a prime destination for tech investments.

Sanjay Gupta agreed to collaborate on developing Madhya Pradesh into a burgeoning tech hub through enhanced IT infrastructure, digital innovations, and skill development programs. This partnership could catalyze economic growth, create thousands of jobs, and position the state as a key player in India’s digital revolution.

As India pushes for self-reliance in technology, such investments signal confidence in Madhya Pradesh’s potential. The state government views this as a milestone in attracting foreign direct investment and fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem. Further details on the investment scale and timelines are expected soon, with both sides optimistic about a formal agreement.
