Lucknow buzzes with anticipation as the makers of the upcoming film ‘Godaan’, centered on cow protection, paid a special visit to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath just days before its February 6 premiere. Producer-director Vinod Chaudhary led the delegation, presenting a massive poster of the movie and briefing the CM on its powerful message.

The film dives deep into the sacred role of cows in Indian culture, portraying them as embodiments of divinity and motherhood. Drawing parallels to Lord Krishna’s teachings in the Bhagavad Gita on dharma and cow safeguarding, ‘Godaan’ aligns seamlessly with CM Yogi’s own initiatives. Since taking office, he has cracked down on illegal slaughterhouses, championing cow welfare across the state.

This timely meeting underscores the film’s resonance with current governance priorities. The team, including key crew members, was spotted at the CM’s residence, highlighting the project’s cultural and social significance.

‘Godaan’ has already generated waves since its poster launch. Its premiere drew celebrities from Bollywood and revered saints, sparking widespread discussions. A standout feature is the inclusion of a unique aarti dedicated to the cow mother, sung as a song by young vocalist Ananya Singh. In an exclusive chat, she shared her thrill: ‘Singing the Gau Mata aarti is an honor—it’s India’s first song styled like a devotional chant. There’s also a bhakti track on Radha-Krishna. This Sanatan Dharma film urges youth to embrace its message on Hindu values and cow protection.’

Helmed by producers Vinod Kumar Chaudhary and Dr. Parul Chaudhary, with co-producer Chetan Goswami, the film is directed by Amit Prajapati. It weaves a heartfelt tale of love and devotion between a hero and a calf, starring Sahil Anand, known from ‘Student of the Year’ series and ‘Babloo Happy Hai’. As release nears, ‘Godaan’ promises to stir hearts and ignite conversations on tradition and conservation.
