In a dramatic turn of events, a massive fire erupted at the AMX Medical Systems factory in Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, on Tuesday evening, sending shockwaves through the industrial hub. Located in Harsha Compound, Site-2, right opposite Krishna Engineering College, the inferno broke out around 5:41 PM, prompting an immediate response from local fire services.

Fire tenders from Kotwali station were the first on the scene, dispatched under the leadership of the station officer. Upon arrival at Plot No. 128, firefighters discovered the blaze raging fiercely within the premises where X-ray machines and other critical medical equipment are manufactured. The intensity of the flames necessitated a rapid call for reinforcements.

Soon, a formidable fleet assembled: two tenders from Vaishali, three from Kotwali, one each from Loni and Modinagar, plus a water bowser and another tender from Noida. In total, ten fire engines converged, launching a relentless assault on the fire. Water supplies ran dry multiple times, forcing teams to shuttle refills from a nearby municipal water source at Katori Mill.

The factory’s high boundary walls posed significant challenges, blocking access from multiple angles. Fire personnel ingeniously deployed a Hydra machine to breach the structure, allowing them to encircle and smother the flames using foam and BA sets. Their coordinated efforts paid off, extinguishing the fire completely without any casualties—a huge relief amid the chaos.

Post-extinguishment inspections revealed extensive damage: a basement stocked with plastic bags had been utterly consumed, and much of the machinery lay in ruins. Quick action prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring factories, safeguarding the entire industrial zone. Cooling operations continue to prevent re-ignition, while authorities probe the cause of the devastating blaze.
