General Anil Chauhan, the CDS, declared that the Indian Army needs to be ready to respond to all forms of violent actions initiated by Pakistan. Speaking at a gathering, he stressed the need to counter Pakistan’s all-encompassing resistance approach and stated that terrorists should not be permitted to hide anywhere within Pakistan. During the annual Trident lecture series, he underscored the importance of maintaining elevated levels of military readiness at all times. He also observed the diminishing distinction between peace and war, stating that the two appear to be merging.
