In a commendable display of police work, Bihar’s Gaya Police successfully rescued a kidnapped youth and apprehended the perpetrators within a mere six hours of the initial report. The kidnapping occurred on August 6th, when the youth was traveling to Gangti Bazaar. Criminals intercepted him near Baghiya Mor, Imamganj, and subsequently demanded a ransom of 8 lakh rupees.

The police swiftly registered an FIR at Imamganj Police Station and launched an immediate investigation. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, took charge, leading to the prompt arrest of the criminals and the safe recovery of the abducted individual.

    Technical Expertise Aids in Rescue

The Technical Branch of Gaya Police played a crucial role in the successful operation.

A special team, operating under the guidance of the City Superintendent of Police, Gaya, and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Imamganj, was formed. This team included officers from Imamganj, Chakrabandha, Magra, and Bhadwar police stations, as well as technical experts. This collaborative effort was instrumental in the successful rescue.

The team employed advanced technical investigation techniques, identified potential hideouts, and, based on intelligence, conducted raids in the Pichhulia forest of Chakrabandha. This decisive action resulted in the freeing of the kidnapped youth, Munnavar Khan alias Tabbu Khan, who was recovered near Nakti Bridge, Imamganj.

    Victim Confirms Pre-Planned Kidnapping

During questioning, the rescued youth revealed that the kidnapping was a pre-planned operation involving multiple individuals. Police have identified the vehicle used in the crime and are actively pursuing other suspects through ongoing raids.
