A criminal named Chandan Mishra, currently on medical parole, was shot inside Paras Hospital in Patna on July 17th. The attack was carried out by five individuals, as captured on hospital CCTV footage. Mishra, who has a history of serious criminal activities, including multiple murder cases, was targeted by a rival gang, according to the police. The police, with the help of Buxar police, are working to identify the shooters and are also investigating whether the security personnel played any role in this incident. Following the incident, Mishra’s family members created a disturbance in the hospital premises. Senior police officials are overseeing the investigation into this daylight shooting, highlighting the ongoing law and order challenges.
