Five people, including a newlywed couple from Madhya Pradesh, lost their lives, and eight others sustained injuries in a car-truck collision on the Dausa-Manoharpur National Highway (NH-148) in Jaipur on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred when the car, carrying a group of wedding attendees, was struck by a truck traveling at high speed, allegedly on the wrong side of the road. The victims were returning from a wedding function. The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. Local residents provided assistance to the injured. The deceased have been identified as Bharti Meena, Vikram Meena, Jetu Kumawat, Subhash Meena, and Ravi Kumar. Police investigations are underway, and an FIR will be lodged after the families arrive.
