Harsh Vardhan Jain, a resident of Ghaziabad, has been arrested for impersonating an ambassador and running a money laundering scheme. He presented himself as a representative of various micronations, using a fabricated photograph with Prime Minister Modi to gain credibility. Jain used luxury vehicles with fake number plates to further his deceptive identity. Investigations showed that Jain was involved in a Hawala racket, promising fraudulent overseas job opportunities. Further, authorities found connections between Jain and international arms dealers, including Adnan Khashoggi, dating back to 2011.
