Following an encounter, two suspects involved in the Bareilly violence were apprehended by the CBganj police. Idris and Iqbal, both shot in the leg, face accusations of inciting violence and opening fire on law enforcement during the September 26 riots. Authorities recovered a stolen government rifle, two pistols, ammunition, a motorcycle, and a mobile phone. The suspects admitted that they planned to sell the stolen rifle before being apprehended. Idris, aged 50, from Shahjahanpur, has a criminal history with roughly 20 cases, whereas 48-year-old Iqbal, also from Shahjahanpur, has 17 previous cases registered against him.
