Empowering Truck Drivers: Highway Heroes Season 2 Celebrates Success

Highway Heroes Season 2, a program by TV9 Network and Shriram Finance, concluded with a grand finale. The initiative aimed to acknowledge the vital role of truck drivers in the Indian economy and logistics. The program went beyond recognition, focusing on the drivers’ holistic development. The Logistics Skill Council (LSC) provided training to hundreds of drivers, who were then awarded Level-4 certificates, which are recognized as equivalent to a 12th-grade education. These certificates will benefit the drivers in their professional journeys and with their license renewals. The closing event featured discussions among panelists on improving the drivers’ lives by making them easier, safer, and more respectable. The program also included health check-ups, yoga sessions, TB awareness programs, financial literacy sessions, and career counseling. During the closing ceremony, the Minister of State, Harsh Malhotra, praised the initiative for acknowledging the contributions of these often-unseen heroes.
