NEW DELHI: The Election Fee will announce the time table of the election to the place of work of the President of India on Thursday.

The ballot panel has convened a press convention at 3 pm to announce the time table. The time period of President Ram Nath Kovind ends on July 24 and an election for the following president needs to be held prior to that day.

The president is elected by means of the contributors of the electoral faculty consisting of elected contributors of each homes of Parliament, and elected contributors of the legislative assemblies of all states together with the Nationwide Capital Territory of Delhi and the Union Territory of Puducherry.

The nominated contributors of both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha or legislative assemblies of the states don’t seem to be eligible to be integrated within the electoral faculty and due to this fact, they aren’t entitled to take part within the election.

In a similar fashion, contributors of the legislative councils also are no longer electors for the presidential election. In 2017, the presidential polls had been hung on July 17 and the counting happened on July 20.
