NEW DELHI: The Election Fee on Friday recognised the Eknath Shinde-led faction as the true Shiv Sena and ordered allocation of the “bow and arrow” ballot image to it.
In a 78-page order at the protracted struggle for keep watch over of the organisation, the Fee allowed the Uddhav Thackeray faction to stay the “flaming torch” ballot image allotted to it until the of completion of the meeting bypolls within the state.
The Fee stated MLAs backing Eknath Shinde were given just about 76 in step with cent of votes polled in favour of the 55 successful Shiv Sena applicants within the 2019 Maharashtra Meeting polls.
The Uddhav Thackeray faction’s MLAs were given 23.5 in step with cent of votes polled in favour of the successful Shiv Sena applicants, the three-member Fee stated in a unanimous order.
