A school manager has been apprehended in Uttar Pradesh after being accused of raping a class 8 student. The Sadar Kotwali police station is handling the investigation. According to the report, a man filed a complaint stating that the school manager had raped his minor daughter. The girl disclosed to her parents that the manager had been sexually abusing her. Following the complaint, authorities filed an FIR against the accused, who is now under interrogation as the probe continues.

Concurrently, the Odisha government has implemented a 24-hour internet and social media blackout in Cuttack, starting from Sunday, amidst escalating unrest. This suspension, effective from 7 pm Sunday to 7 pm Monday, encompasses the Cuttack Municipal Corporation, the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), and the 42 Mauza Region. The decision follows recent clashes between two groups on Sunday, which occurred after an earlier incident involving stone pelting and conflict during the Durga Puja immersion ceremonies.
