Gautam Buddh Nagar police have rolled out an extensive security blanket to ensure Holi celebrations pass off peacefully across the district. With drones equipped with high-resolution cameras keeping a hawk-eyed watch on potential troublemakers, authorities are leaving no stone unturned.

Heavy deployments of police personnel and traffic enforcers dot major intersections, bustling markets, and mixed-population neighborhoods. In sensitive zones, additional battalions of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) stand ready to respond swiftly to any unrest.

Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh led a thorough inspection on March 3, visiting key areas like Dadri and Jarcha in Greater Noida zone, and Badalpur in Central Noida. Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) Dr. Rajeev Narayan Mishra and senior officers, she scrutinized security setups at crowded spots and vulnerable locations.

During meetings at police stations with prominent citizens, Singh gathered inputs and issued firm directives. ‘All on-duty personnel must remain fully alert,’ she emphasized, stressing round-the-clock surveillance via CCTV and drones. Patrols, Police Response Vehicle (PRV) operations, and immediate action against suspicious activities were mandated.

Traffic management has been prioritized with special arrangements, including strict crackdowns on drunk driving. The police vowed zero tolerance for law-breakers, promising legal action against identified miscreants.

Commissioner Singh urged residents to celebrate Holi in a spirit of brotherhood and harmony, ignoring rumors. ‘Public safety is our top priority, and we’ve implemented every possible measure for a secure festival,’ she assured.
