Agra Police are investigating allegations of misconduct at the Kalindi Vihar, Trans Yamuna Police Station following claims from Sarju Yadav. Yadav alleges she was assaulted and her clothes were torn inside the police station premises by the police personnel, including the Station House Officer (SHO). She has also threatened suicide if she does not receive justice, holding the staff accountable. This incident reportedly occurred when she visited the station to inquire about a case that had already been closed. A video of a physical altercation between Yadav and a female police officer is circulating on social media. The Agra Police released a statement explaining that the case was closed in January. They claim that when Yadav began recording a video at the station, she “misbehaved, abused, and physically assaulted” a female officer and attempted self-harm. The police have stated that her allegations are false.
