New Delhi’s shocking triple homicide near Peergarhi flyover has taken a dramatic turn with the arrest of a self-proclaimed spiritual healer. Delhi Police detained Kamaruddin, known locally as ‘Maulana’ and a tantrik, in connection with the mysterious deaths of three individuals found inside a locked car.
The victims—76-year-old Randhir, 47-year-old Shiv Naresh Singh, and 40-year-old Lakshmi Devi—were discovered on a Sunday afternoon. Randhir was seated in the driver’s position, while the other two occupied the back seats. Initially treated as a suspected suicide, the case quickly evolved into a murder investigation after crucial leads emerged.
Outer District’s DCP Sachin Sharma revealed that the probe is ongoing to piece together the timeline. ‘We’re digging into what transpired that day and the events leading up to it,’ he stated. The victims had sought Kamaruddin’s help for health issues, drawn by his bold claims of curing even cancer and other severe ailments.
Police sources indicate Kamaruddin had been in contact with the trio for nearly a year. CCTV footage reportedly captures him in the front passenger seat of the vehicle on the day of the incident. Investigators are now interrogating the suspect to uncover the motive behind the killings.
Collaboration with other agencies is underway to gather more evidence. As the investigation intensifies, authorities urge the public to provide any relevant information. This breakthrough marks the first major arrest, shedding light on a chilling crime that has gripped the capital.
