New Delhi’s law enforcement has cracked a shocking murder case in the Nand Nagri area of northeast Delhi. In a swift operation, police arrested the prime suspect and recovered a pistol along with three live cartridges from his possession.

The incident revolves around the brutal killing of Mohammad Umaruddin near Bade School in Nand Nagri. A dedicated team led by Inspector Anand Yadav, including ASI Pramod, Head Constables Deepak, Vipin, Rohit, and Constables Jitendra and Vimal, pursued every lead with relentless determination.

Through meticulous investigation and gathering crucial evidence, the team zeroed in on a suspicious individual. The accused was identified as Sunil alias Deepu alias Narendra, a resident of B-Block, Nand Nagri. During intense interrogation, he confessed to the crime.

Further probes revealed Sunil’s extensive criminal history, with eight prior cases registered against him, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, assault, and violations under the Arms Act. The recovery of the weapon strengthens the case against him.

In a separate tragic incident in Subhash Nagar, a speeding car struck and killed a delivery boy around 2:30 AM. Eyewitnesses reported the driver and occupants were intoxicated, with the vehicle clocking speeds of about 150 kmph. Locals apprehended one fleeing suspect as police took the driver into custody. Investigations continue into both cases, highlighting ongoing challenges with crime and road safety in the capital.
