New Delhi witnessed a significant step forward in educational infrastructure on Thursday as Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena inaugurated the fifth ‘Arambh’ library in Vikaspuri. The event marked not just the launch of a 24/7 study hub but also the unveiling of pillar-shaped fountains at key intersections in Dwarka sub-city.

A Delhi Development Authority (DDA) official highlighted that this Vikaspuri facility is the latest addition to the ‘Arambh’ series, designed to serve over 180 students daily across three eight-hour shifts. Open around the clock, it aims to provide a dedicated, affordable space for focused learning, particularly for students from West Delhi.

Equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, the library features uninterrupted Wi-Fi, modular study tables, secure lockers, round-the-clock CCTV surveillance, and an on-site cafeteria. These modern provisions ensure a conducive environment for academic pursuits without breaking the bank.

Speaking at the inauguration, LG Saxena emphasized Delhi’s stature as the nation’s education capital, attracting students from across India to shape their futures. He praised the ‘Arambh’ initiative for delivering cutting-edge infrastructure at affordable rates, congratulating the DDA for this commendable effort.

“This is a service to students with limited resources,” Saxena noted, underscoring the commitment to the holistic development of youth, whom he described as the nation’s future. The LG also inaugurated fountains in Dwarka, reaffirming dedication to holistic urban development that meets Delhi’s evolving needs and residents’ aspirations.

The ‘Arambh’ libraries represent a proactive approach to bridging educational gaps in underserved areas, fostering a culture of continuous learning and empowering the next generation to thrive in a competitive world.
