In Shalimar Bagh, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a hotline maintenance vehicle, a significant initiative by the power department. This vehicle is designed to repair electricity wires without causing power disruptions, costing approximately 1.5 crore rupees. The CM plans to introduce more such vehicles. Gupta expressed her deep affection for the Shalimar Bagh constituency, calling it her ‘heart’s piece’ after her consistent work there for the past three years. The MP will take charge of future projects. The CM also revealed plans for a new Chhath Ghat on the Munak Canal, with an estimated budget of 40 crore rupees. She explained that the canal, which flows through Delhi, is being prepared for the Chhath Puja. Development initiatives in Shalimar Bagh include streetlights worth 94 lakh rupees and road-widening projects. Additional improvements include road repairs near Guru Gobind Singh College, along with a new school and community hall in Haiderpur. Delhi’s Power Minister, Ashish Sood, emphasized how the new technology improves governance by enabling maintenance without power outages.
