New Delhi witnessed a significant milestone in its education landscape as Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the temporary campus of the second Kendriya Vidyalaya in North East Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area on Monday. This event marks a pivotal step towards enhancing access to quality education in the region.

Speaking at the occasion, CM Gupta emphasized the transformation of Delhi’s education system into a modern, technology-driven framework. She highlighted the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s support in driving these changes. ‘The capital’s Kendriya Vidyalayas are ensuring top-notch education, and this new facility is a crucial addition,’ she posted on X.

The inauguration was accompanied by the foundation stone laying for the permanent building. Gupta noted initiatives like curbing exorbitant fees in private schools and upgrading government institutions through projects such as CM Shri Protsahan-Neev, aiming to provide equal opportunities to every child.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari celebrated the achievement, calling it a fulfilled dream for North East Delhi. Classes have been running smoothly in the temporary setup for the past three months, ensuring uninterrupted learning for students. ‘This is a strong initiative towards a bright future for our region’s children,’ Tiwari stated.

Minister Kapil Mishra described the day as historic for Karawal Nagar’s Khajuri Khas. Under CM Gupta’s leadership, the groundbreaking for the permanent structure was completed, promising to benefit thousands of students in the vicinity. Mishra praised the BJP government’s reforms in education, crediting MP Tiwari’s persistent efforts.

This development underscores the government’s commitment to equitable education, bridging gaps between public and private schooling while fostering technological integration. As Delhi pushes forward, such institutions will play a key role in nurturing the next generation.
