As part of their crackdown on terrorist activities, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached properties belonging to Sajjad Gul, the founder of The Resistance Front (TRF). The TRF, which is connected to Lashkar-e-Toiba, has been implicated in the Pahalgam terror attack where 25 tourists and a local pony operator were killed. The police seized a three-story residential house in Srinagar, estimated to be worth Rs 2 crore. This action is connected to FIR No. 235/2022 under the UAPA and EIMCO Act. The authorities are using Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) to target assets used for terrorist activities. Sajjad Gul, a designated terrorist, was born on October 10, 1974.
