A KFC restaurant in Ghaziabad was targeted by the Hindu Raksha Dal on Friday, leading to its closure due to the sale of meat during the Sawan month. Protesters voiced their objections with religious slogans, demanding a ban on non-vegetarian food sales during the Kanwar Yatra. A video of the confrontation circulated widely on social media, showing KFC staff dealing with the situation. Consequently, the district has implemented Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS). An FIR has been registered against unknown individuals as a result of the incident, and investigations are underway. The Kanwar Yatra is a major annual event.
