MUMBAI: The Congress in Maharashtra on Thursday wondered senior BJP chief and previous leader minister Devendra Fadnavis over his act of “shaking arms” with 2008 Malegaon blast case accused, Lt Colonel Prasad Purohit, which the birthday party mentioned was once captured in a video.
Speaking to journalists, Maharashtra Congress chief Sachin Sawant mentioned, “The heat with which Fadnavis met Purohit confirmed that the 2 know each and every different.”
“The BJP has been giving coverage to the Malegaon blast accused. Pragya Singh Thakur (any other accused within the case) has been made an MP from Bhopal,” he alleged.
Purohit, who was once an officer from intelligence corps of the Military, was once suspended from carrier quickly after he was once arrested in reference to the Malegaon blast case in overdue 2008.
In 2017, round 9 years after his arrest, Purohit was once granted bail and he walked out of the Taloja prison in neighbouring Navi Mumbai.
Six other folks have been killed in a bomb blast on September 29, 2008 at Malegaon, a communally delicate textile the city in Nashik district of north Maharashtra.
