During a public address in Mysuru, DK Shivakumar, the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, asserted that the Congress party’s electoral success was due to its guarantee schemes and the Bharat Jodo Yatra, spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi. Shivakumar acknowledged the transformative actions undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He stated that the Congress party’s ‘hand’ symbol had effectively quieted opponents while also providing strength to farmers. He underscored the importance of the Congress’s work in empowering the people and mentioned that the foundation had been laid for projects totaling Rs 2,578 crores. He also highlighted the utilization of World Bank funding aimed at modernizing the education sector. Shivakumar attended a public event and a ‘Sadhana’ conference in Mysuru. An escort vehicle in his convoy experienced an accident on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, leading to injuries among five people. Despite the incident, Shivakumar was unharmed and continued his journey to Bengaluru.
