The Congress party has initiated a social media campaign, asking individuals to update their display pictures (DPs) to support its fight against claimed electoral irregularities. The party stated that Rahul Gandhi’s primary focus is on defending the mandate, unveiling a vote theft plot involving the Election Commission and the BJP, and defending democracy. Congress has called on supporters to express their solidarity against the claimed vote theft by changing their social media profile pictures. A link has been provided to download a DP that says ‘Freedom from Vote Theft’ and ‘Stop Vote Theft’. The Congress party has also created a web portal. The aim is to allow people to register, demand responsibility from the Election Commission about accusations of vote theft and back the call for a digital voter list. Multiple Congress leaders have altered their DPs on social media to reflect their support.
