Nishikant Dubey, a BJP MP, has made serious allegations against the Congress, drawing on events from 70 years prior. Dubey alleges that the Congress party sold the Mining and Petroleum Ministry to Serajuddin in 1956. He stated that this was an act of corruption driven by their immense wealth. Dubey claims that Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru acknowledged this sale in the Lok Sabha. He further suggests that Serajuddin & Company was known for gaining manganese ore leases. Furthermore, Dubey stated that K.D. Malaviya, the then minister, was investigated, resulting in charge sheets and his subsequent resignation. The accusations encompass claims of a cover-up involving the Gandhi family related to the 1977 Mumbai High oil scam. Dubey claims that the case was later withdrawn. Previously, Dubey accused the Congress of imprisoning the former Maharani Gayatri Devi and her son, Colonel Bhawani Singh in 1975, alleging this was due to Indira Gandhi’s jealousy. The Congress has dismissed Dubey’s earlier allegations as baseless. There has been no immediate response from the Congress regarding the most recent accusations. Some X users have expressed skepticism, questioning Dubey’s own contributions over the years.
