    UNICEF’s India representative Ms. Cynthia McCaffrey made a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren today at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office. On this occasion, she apprised the Chief Minister of the schemes, works and activities run by UNICEF for the overall development of children in Jharkhand. He expressed his desire to work in coordination with the concerned departments of the state government to create a better environment for the protection of child rights, education, health and development of their personality. The Chief Minister appreciated the work of UNICEF and assured them of full cooperation.

    Efforts are being made to make children move forward in every field

    The Chief Minister said that our government is committed to the overall development of children. Many schemes are being run for how the children of our state can move forward in every field. Unless the children are healthy and safe, there can be no talk of their development. This is the reason why our government is working at every level to overcome malnutrition and many other health problems in children. The Chief Minister said that UNICEF will get full support from the government for the overall development of children. With everyone’s cooperation, efforts will be made to give a better life to the children of this state. On this occasion, UNICEF, Jharkhand Chief Mrs. Kannika Mitra and Communication Specialist Mrs. Aastha Alang were also present.
