Chidambaram resigns from Maharashtra RS seat after you have elected from Tamil Nadu

NEW DELHI: Senior Congress chief P Chidambaram on Thursday resigned from his Rajya Sabha seat from Maharashtra after he used to be elected to the Higher Area from his house state of Tamil Nadu for a recent time period.

Chidambaram used to be a number of the 41 winners declared elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha previous this month.

“Following my election to the Rajya Sabha from the state of Tamil Nadu, I’m required to renounce my seat from the state of Maharashtra. Accordingly, these days I tendered my resignation from the seat from the state of Maharashtra,” Chidambaram stated in a tweet.

“The Hon’ble Chairman of the Rajya Sabha has accredited my resignation. I used to be honoured to constitute the state of Maharashtra. I want the folk of Maharashtra the easiest at some point, peace and prosperity,” the previous Union minister stated.
