Chief Minister Shri Sai announces ₹1 crore for the renovation of the Bar Council and the construction of an e-library
Oath administered to the newly elected office bearers of the District Advocates Association
Raipur, March 16, 2025/ At the oath-taking ceremony of the District Advocates Association held at the Jashpur District Court, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers and wished them well, urging them to dedicate themselves to judicial service. Principal District and Sessions Judge Shri Mansoor Ahmed, Additional District and Sessions Judge Shri Janardan Khare, MLA Smt. Gomti Sai and Smt. Raimuni Bhagat, along with several dignitaries, were present at the ceremony.
Among those who took the oath were President Shri Om Prakash Sai, Senior Vice President Shri Janardan Prasad Sinha, Junior Vice President Smt. Deepika Kujur, Secretary Shri Satya Prakash Tiwari, Joint Secretary Shri Suraj Chaurasia, Treasurer Shri Suchendra Kumar Singh, Librarian Shri Gopal Prasad Ravani, and Sports and Cultural Secretary Shri Satyendra Jolhe. Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated all the office bearers of the Advocates Association and said that the judiciary is the backbone of democracy, and advocates play a major role in it. He said that advocates should contribute to expediting the justice process with full commitment and dedication, so that even the most deprived sections of society can have access to justice.
Historical role of Jashpur Advocates Association and the tradition of justice
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while discussing the historical contribution of the Jashpur District Advocates Association, said that this association has always been at the forefront of social justice and legal service. Recalling luminaries like Shri Bharatchand Kabra, Shri Balasaheb Deshpande, and Shri Narhari Sai, he said that all of them played an important role in providing justice to the exploited, oppressed, and deprived people. He called on the advocates to maintain this tradition, protect the rights of the people, and make the path to justice easier for them.
Announcement of ₹1 crore for the renovation of the Bar Council and the e-library
Taking a big step towards modernizing facilities and resources for advocates, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced ₹1 crore for the renovation of the Bar Council and the construction of an e-library. He said that in this era of modern technology, the e-library will provide easy access to the latest legal information and updated reference material to advocates and law students. This will increase efficiency in judicial processes and provide better opportunities for study and research to new advocates.
Inseparable relationship between the judiciary and the Advocates Association – Principal District Judge
On this occasion, Principal District and Sessions Judge Shri Mansoor Ahmed said that there is an inseparable relationship between the judiciary and the Advocates Association, and both should work together to strengthen justice and the rule of law in society. He appealed to the advocates to maintain the dignity of justice and to take legal service to the last person in the society.
On this occasion, the speakers shared their views on the role of advocates in society, the need for legal assistance, and measures to make the justice system more effective.
Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh, Pawan Sai, Krishna Kumar Rai, Ram Pratap Singh, along with several senior advocates and dignitaries, were present at the oath-taking ceremony.
