Hakimuddin Nasir, Mahasamund. A case of paddy embezzlement of crores of rupees has been reported in the Riskela Paddy Procurement Center under Saraipali block of the district. Actually, where 12,077 bags of paddy are recorded in online records, only 700 bags of paddy were found on the spot. In such a situation, the big question is, where did 11 thousand 377 bags of paddy go.
According to the information, this time paddy was purchased by three in -charge at the procurement center. When the final stock was matched, this big fraud was exposed. Employees are being suspected of scam in connivance. After the chaos, all the employees have dismissed it.
On this whole matter, Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh has ordered an inquiry to take this whole matter seriously. He said that such disturbances have also been found from other paddy procurement centers. Instructions have been given to the team of Markfed and Food Department that if the problem of serious shorts or bogus is purchased in a center, then interrogate the concerned officer-employee. FIR action will be taken if disturbances are found.
