The village of Jogidipa in the Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh was shaken by a brutal act of violence on Saturday evening. Kamlesh Nande, a resident of the village and a known addict, killed his mother after a minor quarrel. The argument was over the preparation of fish and vegetables. The son, fueled by anger, used a wooden stick to attack his mother, resulting in her death at the scene. The incident has caused a wave of shock and fear throughout the village. The police responded quickly, apprehending the accused. A forensic team is also on the scene conducting investigations. Nande’s substance abuse issues had been a constant source of conflict within the family and the wider community. The police are currently questioning the suspect and conducting further investigations, while the villagers come to terms with the tragedy.
